On September 7, 2022, Judge James V. Selna of the United States District Court for the Central District of California, appointed Kaplan Fox as Interim Co-Lead Counsel for Plaintiffs in a proposed national class action against Illuminate Education, Inc. arising out of reports earlier this year that sensitive personal data of potentially millions of students which it handled for numerous schools districts across the country may have been compromised in a hack due to the company’s alleged failure to properly secure such data.
