On behalf of a nationwide class of consumers, plaintiffs allege that BA Nutrition violated California, New York, and various nationwide consumer protection laws by deceptively marketing BodyArmor sports drink as providing “superior hydration,” “more better natural,” and the like, when the hydration claims are not substantiated by science and, moreover, where routine consumption of BodyArmor links with type-1 diabetes and cardiovascular disease given its high sugar content.
